Luscious Lips with Lip Filler

February is the perfect time to enhance your lips. The most popular way to plump up those lips is with lip filler and during the month of February you can save 20% on  lip filler at Wasatch Back Beauty.

Lip filler is used to add volume and restore lips. The procedure of injecting a dermal filler into the lips is very common. When done right, lips appear to be naturally fuller, smoother and more youthful.

There are many reasons people love a good lip fill. As we age, lips lose volume as a result of genetics, sun damage or smoking. Some like the look of a more voluminous pout and getting lip filler provides a boost of self-confidence. Other reasons for wanting larger lips include correcting lip shape and smoothing out wrinkles.

To achieve the perfect pout, your desired look should be discussed prior to your treatment. At Wasatch Back Beauty Lab, we want our clients to love their lips. We discuss the look you are hoping for and follow up with you to make sure you are happy with the results.

Plan on about 30-45 minutes for an appointment to have your lips filled.

.Due to the anesthetic that is added to the product, it is normal for you to feel numbness and tingling immediately after the procedure. You may experience some moderate swelling, redness, bruising and tenderness over the areas treated.

Some people experience a dull ache, and tenderness over the treated areas which should subside between 48-72 hours.

It is common for mild, non-painful swelling to occur and can last up to two weeks.

Bruising can also occur. This is usually visible initially, then more obvious the next day before fading over 7 to 14 days. A small minority of bruises can last for 4-6 weeks.

To protect your results and minimize side effects, avoid exposure to UV light and heat such as saunas, steam, sun beds, hot showers, and strenuous exercise, for 48 hours as this may increase discomfort and swelling.

You should also keep the treated area cool with a cold compress, but don’t apply ice which can cause injury.

Unnecessary pressure over any areas treated should be avoided especially for the first 24 hours.

Avoid facial massages or skin resurfacing until the area is fully healed.

As with any aesthetic procedure, there is a risk of infection. Try not to touch the area for at least 6 hours to reduce that risk and avoid a reaction. Also, do not apply make-up over Injection points until the day after the procedure.

Serious complications are rare, but it's vital you seek urgent review if any of the following occurs:

• Swelling, puffiness or lumpiness which does not fade within the first week after using gentle massage.

• The filler changes texture and becomes hard, nodular, or lumpy, especially If there Is redness or tenderness after 48 hours.

• Pain near or above the injection site that is getting worse over time.

• A pale area of skin near or around the area where the filler was injected.
